With a friendly each and a week of training in the beautiful settings of the Austrian mountains, Manchester United’s under-18s and under-23s sides enjoyed a successful pre-season training camp.

Both squads returned home on July 15.

Kieran McKenna’s under-18s played SV Ebensee and triumphed comfortably 6-0. The only under-16 in Austria, talented striker Mason Greenwood, scored a hattrick while new midfield signing from Espanyol, Arnau Puigmal, netted on his debut. Defenders Max Dunne and Jake Barrett scored the other two.

Notably, Man United’s new signings, Puigmal but also Aliou Traoré, Largie Ramazani and Ethan Galbraith, were in action. Millen Baars, the exciting winger who joined the club last year but has been awaiting international clearance, also played, having finally been given the required permission to don a United shirt, it’s though.

Highlights of that game are available below, from 4:20.

Meanwhile, Ricky Sbragia managed his first under-23s game since returning to the club this month, losing 3-0 to TSV Freilassing in Salzburg.
