Manchester United will take an under-16s squad to the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) with new midfield signing Will Vint in the squad for the tournament which is from April 13-16.
Vint also had trials at Everton and Fulham, but joined United, and is the son of Peter Vint, former US Olympic Coach and former Everton Head of Academy.
United are entering at under-16 level with Bayern Munich and Villarreal also bringing teams. The Reds are in Group A, kicking things off on Wednesday, April 12th at 17:30 against Kas Eupen. They play twice on the following day, against Eastern FC and CSI. The games are two halves of 25 minutes, with a three-minute half-time.
The squad is very similar to the under-16 squad taken to the Liam Brady Tournament at Arsenal’s revamped Hale End academy training ground recently, where United finished 3rd. However, Vint comes into the side while Will Fish is in an under-14 squad for the Copa Mallorca. Two overage players are permitted in the MIC, allowing Dylan Levitt and Dion McGhee to be included.
