Manchester United’s under-16s finished 3rd at the revamped Hale End, Arsenal’s Academy training ground, in the Liam Brady Tournament.
Competing with Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus, the under-16s, led by coach Neil Ryan, played four games, winning two.

Later in the evening, Ryan’s side were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal. Returning the following morning, United then faced Bayern Munich twice.
Ethan Laird scored United’s only goal in a 2-1 defeat in the third “group” game before goals from Anthony Elanga (under-15) and Ademipo Odubeko (under-14) and Ayodeji Sotona (under-14) gave United a victory in the third-fourth placed play-off with the German side.
