#under16s: Two wins from three in Premier League International Tournament books semi-final place

Manchester United’s under-16 side booked their place in the semi-finals of the Premier League International Tournament with two wins from three games on Friday and Saturday.

Drawn in Group B alongside West Bromwich Albion, Everton, and German side Borussia Dortmund, United scored six and conceded two over the course of their group fixtures.

On Friday, a late equaliser from West Brom saw United miss the chance to start with a win, having missed a penalty earlier in the game too, a 1-1 draw.

Saturday morning saw an excellent performance against Borussia Dortmund as both Mason Greenwood and James Garner grabbed braces in a 4-1 victory. A couple of hours later, the Reds secured their semi-final place with a 1-0 victory against Everton.

They will play either Fulham or Belgian side Anderlecht in Sunday’s semi-final.
